New find. Unique cover known with postal marking “Bonaparte / 1er Consul de la Rép.” dated March 25th, 1800 and used for a few weeks only (Bonaparte was appointed Premier Consul on December 25th, 1799). The only recorded postal marking used by Napoleon bearing his name.
